The Annapurna Sanctuary trek | Annapurna Base Camp trek (ABC)
The Annapurna Sanctuary trek, also known as the Annapurna Base Camp trek (ABC), is a breathtaking journey in the heart of the Annapurna range. The trek begins with stunning views from Australian Camp. It continues through terraced hillsides, and ancestral villages of Landruk, Chhomrong, and alpine environments, leading to the beautiful high glacial walks amidst bamboo and rhododendron forests. Along the way, you'll be treated to panoramic views of Himalayan peaks, including Dhaulagiri (8167m), the Annapurna range, and the sacred Mt. Machhapuchhare (also known as Fishtail) (6993m) with its distinctively shaped peak. The trek culminates with a visit to the hill station of Poon Hill (3200m), offering a stunning vista of the golden sunrise over the snow-capped Himalayas. This trek is suitable for all trekkers, regardless of experience, as it is considered a relatively moderate-level trek and can be completed in about two weeks, making it ideal for a vacation.
