Landmarks

Poon Hill: An early morning hike for sunrise will be rewarded with a stunning panorama that sweeps from the Annapurna range right across to Dhaulagiri.

Ghorepani and Ghandruk village: Gurung settlements are on either side of the pass where modern life meets tradition. Excellent to visit easily from Pokhara for this piece without killing a day in travel; includes local architecture and some traditions plus good facilities and a view.

Jhinu Danda: Jhinu Danda has natural hot springs, a perfect place to relax the aching muscles.

Normally, ABC trek costs between $700 and $1,500. The price will depend on generic aspects such as guide services, types of accommodation, and how long you want to be trekking. This estimation already includes permits, transportation, meals, and accommodation.

Best Seasons for Annapurna Base Camp

Pre-monsoon (March to May) has stable weather and flowering rhododendrons to make the trail very beautiful.

  • Airport Reception: On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you shall be met by one of our representatives with warm greetings.
  • Transfer and Pre-Trip Meeting: You are privately transferred to the hotel, where either a pre-trip briefing is conducted at our office for those people arriving early, or it will be done at the hotel you will stay in if you arrive after 4:00 p.m. today.

Note: Please carry 2 passport-size photos and photocopies of your travel insurance document for obtaining a permit while on trek. Other final trip formalities will be done by signing the trip form and non-liability disclaimer.

📅 Fixed Departure Dates:
We offer regular group departures during the best trekking seasons—Spring (March-May) and Autumn (September–November). You can join one of our scheduled groups or request a customized departure date that fits your schedule.

🔹 Private & Customized Departures:
If the fixed dates do not match your travel plans, we can arrange a private trek tailored to your needs. This option is ideal for solo adventurers, couples, families, or larger groups looking for a personalized experience.

⏰ Last-Minute Bookings:
While we accept last-minute bookings, we recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance to secure the availability of guides, lodging, and permits.

👥 Group Size Requirements:
Our fixed departures require a minimum of 2 trekkers. We also cater to private trips for solo travelers or larger groups. Discounts are available for groups of 5 or more.

🚍 Flight & Transport Considerations: Access to this trek is by first being driven from Kathmandu to Pokhara, then another drive to Birethanti, and the walk all the way to Annapurna Base Camp. However, for flight options, we could have one from Kathmandu to Pokhara arranged at an extra cost of $130 one-way. Please do understand that road conditions constantly change, so travel time may get longer than usual during different seasons.

⏳ Extra Days & Weather Buffer:
Due to unpredictable Himalayan weather and natural factors, we advise adding an extra day or two as a buffer. This helps ensure you do not miss connecting international flights or other scheduled arrangements.

1. Layering of Clothes:
Base Layer (Moisture-Wicking):

  • Top and bottom thermal clothes to remain dry and assist in temperature control.
  • Moisture-wicking underwear and socks.

Insulating Layer:

  • Fleece jacket, or pullover
  • Down or synthetic insulated jacket during severe cold conditions.

Outer Layer (Weather Protection):

  • A waterproof and windproof jacket and pants are most appropriate since they help keep off both the rain and the wind.
  • Gaiters will cover the legs up to the mid-thigh level area and the boots; both will be protected from snow and debris.

Lower Body:

  • Convertible hiking/travel pants.
  • Thermal leggings for added warmth in colder sections.

Headwear:

  • Hat or cap for sun protection during the day.
  • Warm beanie or hat for the evening and higher altitudes.
  • Balaclava or neck gaiter for more face protection in cold conditions.

Handwear:

Packing tip: Select material that is lightweight, quick-drying, and wicking. Avoid a product made of cotton which will keep moisture inside it and dries slowly. Pack in waterproof dry bags or zip-lock bags for items that are most sensitive to rain. Do note, that the place has very limited laundry facilities; it would be best if you could set a plan to do your laundry on the rest days. Select and pack your gear properly to be in good shape to travel up the Annapurna Base Camp trek comfortably and safely.
