Passports, visa and paperwork:
Bhutan requires a valid passport with at least six months validity from the date of your departure from the country. Your visa application should have been handled in advance through us so that you can be able to get your visa clearance number in advance which can be helpful. Before checking you're onto the flight to Bhutan the ground staff at the airport will validate your passport like your name on the list of visa clearance. Your visa will be stamped into your passport at Paro airport. We look after you from the start to finish which includes paperwork, safety measures, visa application and extension, permit to visit, fishing and so on.
You are required to send the photo-page of your passport to your tour operator who will then apply for your visa. The visa will be processed by the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) once the full payment of your holiday (including a USD $ 40 visa fee) has been wire transferred and received in the TCB bank account. Once received, the visa clearance will be processed within 72 working hours.

Transit visa for Bhutan Tours from India:
Transit visas for traveling through India to get to Bhutan are not required if you are flying through one of the five airports (New Delhi, Kolkata, Bagdogra, Guwahati, and Gaya) in India, and are taking a connecting flight to Bhutan, as long as you have the flight already booked with confirmation and tickets. Transit passengers traveling through India are not permitted to leave the transit area of the respective airport and have a 72-hour period in which they board the connecting flight to Bhutan.
If you are planning to exit by overland from Bhutan to India, you must obtain your Indian visa before flying to Bhutan. India does not have a visa service on arrival to the tourists/visitors. So tourist visas for India require a valid passport with at least six months' validity remaining, two passport-sized photos, proof of onward or return travel and a completed application form.
