Drukyul Experience 06 Nights - 07 Days program is exploring to Punakha and Wangdiphodrang in addition to Paro and Thimpu valleys in this trip. Punakha, which was the capital of Bhutan prior to Thimpu, has a temperate climate round the year. You will get to see the winter home of the Bhutanese royal family, the Punakha Dzong. Wangdiphodrang, a large valley just before the Central Bhutan, offers the view of cattle grazing in the green pasture fields. The village is also renowned for its artistic stone carvings and bamboo and slate works.

Itinerary
Reception by our representative at the airport and drive to Thimpu
In the morning, we visit the hospital for traditional medicine, Memorial Chorten and national Library. After lunch visit the Handicrafts centers and the School of Thangka Painting.
Picturesque drive on the mountain route towards Punkha-the former capital of Bhutan, passing through Dochu La (3050); spectacular view of Himalayan ranges on a clear weather day. We will visit the Punakha Dzong and descend to Wangdi valley. We can visit Wangdiphodrang Dzong, the most scenic in Bhutan. O/N hotel in Punakha.
Drive back over the scenic view and stop in Thimpu for Lunch. We can visit the oldest Dzong of Bhutan-the Sintokha Dzong, now an institute of learning. Continue drive to Paro. O/N hotel.
Visit the fortified tower of Ta Dzong, now a natural history Museum, ruins of Drugyal Dzong that once guarded the invading Tibetan forces, and Kyichu Temple of 7th century.
Today we will visit the famous Takstang monastery (Tiger's nest) which is the highlight of Paro.
This is about 3hrs walk uphill and also can be done on horseback. Return down hill on foot. O/N hotel in Paro.
