The Himalaya has been a source of religious and spiritual inspiration for millions of Hindu and Buddhist devotees. Immensely rich in cultural and biological diversity, people and wildlife have both found a refuge in its peaceful, sacred and serene environment. If you have curiosity to know how our ancestors used to lived during the medieval ages, then the towns and villages of Kathmandu valley naturally comes into one's mind. Built during 16th and 17th century, in these towns people still live the way they use to live in those past centuries. Unbelievable cultural mix of Buddhism and Hinduism and their monasteries, temples and other monuments are one of the highlights. Nepal is a rich country in term of cultural heritage. Nepalese culture represents a fusion of Indo-Aryan and Tibeto-Mongolian influences.  
Lumbini

A brief and scenic drive from Kathmandu leads you to the lush green forests of the Terai, where Chitwan National Park unfolds its natural wonders. Home to a myriad of wildlife, the park boasts endangered species such as the Royal Bengal Tiger, one-horned Rhino, wild elephants, pythons, crocodiles, bears, various deer species, and an impressive 450 bird species. Following captivating wildlife activities in the jungle, proceed to the enchanting valley of Pokhara. From there, venture into the wilderness of the Terai, a vast plain in Nepal where you'll immerse yourself in the unique culture of the Tharus. Explore the birthplace of Buddha, visit Buddhist monasteries, and marvel at the Ashok Pillar in Lumbini.

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, welcome by your guide or a representative from Yatri Trekking and transfer to the hotel. Meet with the tour operation manager and a pre-trek briefing will be given by the manager.
Depending on your arrival time, your guide can introduce Thamel, the main tourist area of Kathmandu, or the old streets of Kathmandu where you can experience the first glimpses Nepalese life and the remains of the time at leisure.
In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner at an authentic Nepalese cuisine which will introduce first Nepalese food.

Guided Tour to Patan, Bungmati, and Khokana:
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before departing for Patan, the ancient royal palace of Lalitpur, known as the "City of 1000 Monasteries." Explore the Krishna Temple, built in the 17th century in the Indian Shikhara style by King Siddhinarshingha Malla, the Golden Temple, and the MahaBudha Temple, constructed in the 14th century with 999 Buddha sculptures carved in terra-cotta. Enjoy lunch in the city.
After Lunch, transfer to Bungmati, a typical Newari village that exudes the ambiance of the medieval period. Witness the grand temple of Macchindranath, the god of rain and compassion, believed to be the reincarnation of Vishnu in fish form. Concluding the day's journey, head to Khokana, situated next to Bungmati, before driving back to Kathmandu.

Morning visit: Buddhanath, Pashupatinath
After breakfast, drive to Boudhanath, explore the immense Stupa, dating back to the 5th century, making it one of the largest in the world. Take in the serenity of the surroundings and visit the monasteries in the vicinity.

Next, visit Pashupatinath, also known as the abode of Shiva. Along the banks of the Bagmati River, a sacred river in Nepal, witness cremation ceremonies and other ritual activities. Note that the main temple is restricted to non-Hindus. Explore the area around the Nandi (Bull) statue, adorned with numerous small Hindu temples and Lingams, symbolizing energy.

In the afternoon, head to Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgaon, a small Hindu city dating back to the late 17th century. Once a granary for rice in the valley, it remains a significant religious site. On Durbar Square, visit the Golden Gate, the 55 Windows Palace, and Nyatapola, a five-storey roofed temple dedicated to Siddhi Laxmi, the goddess of Tantrism.

Conclude the day with a drive to Nagarkot, approximately 15 km northeast of Kathmandu. This location offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges and is renowned for its spectacular sunrise.

If we are fortunate enough to have clear weather, wake up early in the morning to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayan range, which includes Annapurna, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shanker, and Ganesh Himal. As the sun rises, the mountains undergo a spectacular transformation, displaying a vibrant array of colors.

Return to your hotel for breakfast. Afterward, embark on a drive to Panauti, a picturesque Newari village known for its extensive temple complex. The visit to Panauti is rewarding, offering a glimpse into its rich cultural and architectural heritage.

Following the exploration of Panauti, continue the journey to Namobuddha, situated on a hill about 5 km east of Panauti. This beautiful stupa is adorned with a layered yellow shade and features a necklace of prayer mills. After the visit to Namobuddha, drive back to Dhulikhel via Panauti.

Take a look around Dhulikhel and drive Pharping.
We have another chance to see the Himalayan Range. If the weather is good, wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise on the Himalayan range. The snowy mountains from Dhulikhel offers one of the best views in Nepal. Dhulikhel is incredibly beautiful and a paradise for mountain lovers. You can also enjoy the amazing landscape of the Indrawati valley below and the trail that climbs up from the road.

After having breakfast at the lodge, visit the ancient Newari settlement of Dhulikhel, which is always bustling with various cultural activities and processions. Take a look around the village and then drive to Pharping village which is about 60km to the southern belt of Kathmandu valley, where Guru Padmasambhawa meditated and gained supreme knowledge. There are many Buddhist monasteries in and around the area. For lunch, we can stop at a suitable place on the way to Pharping and we will visit the Dakshinkali Temple which is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Kali. The King Pratap Malla built the temple during the 17th century. The temple is roofless, with white tiles on the floor. Animal sacrifice is common in Nepal, the world's only Hindu kingdom.

After the visit of the Dakshinkali Temple, we will back towards our Lodge and Change another vehicle and continue to Haatiban Resort, which is about 400m above the base station. You can enjoy a magnificent view from the Ganesh Himal Range to the highest mountain peaks.

Departure to Chitwan National Park.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive along the Kathmandu-Pokhara highway en route to Chitwan. Enjoy a leisurely five-hour journey through picturesque landscapes. Upon reaching the lodge, receive a comprehensive briefing from the Guest Relations Officer about the Royal Chitwan National Park and the available programs.

This day is dedicated to exploring the rich flora and fauna of the park, home to 50 mammal species and 440 bird species. Engage in a variety of activities, including an Elephant Safari, a guided walk, and a Jeep tour through the park. Experience bird watching, observe the Elephant breeding centre and bath, and receive informative briefings from the hotel's professional guides about various medicinal plants found in the jungle.

After break fast, we do boating on the Phewa lake which is one of the beautiful lakes of Pokhara, we cross the lake and climb a small hill to the World Peace Stupa. Visit the stupa and the Monestrey.
Afternoon drive to the David fall. Patale Chhango (Hell's Falls), more commonly called "Devi's or David's Falls". The water from this falls comes from the lake flowing to the Seti. The water plunges into a hole and disappears! In monsoon this sight is most spectacular. Nearby, across the street is a little cave (Gupteshwor Cave). Devil’s fall is in the gorge of the Seti River. It is a magnificent water fall next to (Gupteswar cave).

Drive to Tansen (km125), visit the village .
After break having breakfast, drive to Tansen which is 125km to west from Pokhara, Tansen is another Himalayan Newar's town located on the slopes of a hill called Shreenagar Danda (1343m). Chief attractions from here are Dhaulagiri in the west to Gauri shanker in the northeast, view of the Tinau river valley below, Tansen Durbar and the Rani Mahal.

Drive to Lumbini (85KM) and visit the birth place of Buddha. Overnight at Hotel Buddha Maya Garden.
Drive to Lumbini which is 85 km from Tansen and take 2 hrs on Bus. Lumbini is the birth place of Buddha, Buddha also known by the “Light of Asia”. Visit the birth place of Buddha, the temple of Mayadevi (The Buddha's mother) and a sacred stone marked with a "foot imprint" of Ashoka. The Ashokan Pillar, the oldest monument so far found in Nepal lies to the west of the Mayadevi Temple.

Exploration around Lumbini

Tilaurakot: Lying about 27 km west of Lumbini and evoking the ancient palace of King Suddhodhan (The chief of the Shakya tribe and father of Buddha),  where Buddha spent his early years.
Niglihawa: Some of the very valuable archaeological finds (Dating 3rd century B.C) have been unearthed at Niglihawa. Situated to the north-east of Tilaurakot.
