    For visitors whether professional, nonprofessional, or amateur who wish to enjoy a fishing trip combined with bird watching, jungle safari, tiger tracking, or rafting, the Karnali and Babai rivers within Bardia National Park are ideal destinations. These rivers are home to various fish species, including the Golden Mahseer, a prized game fish highly sought after by anglers.

    The best season for fishing is from February till end of May and from October/November when fishes go upstream for spawning and consume less food.

    Practical information for Anglers:It is advisable to bring your own fishing equipment and supplies as renting or purchasing fishing gear within the park might be limited.

    Karnali River: The Karnali River is one of the longest rivers in Nepal, flowing through Bardia National Park and offering fishing opportunities for both local communities and tourists.

    Babai River: The Babai River is another prominent river flowing through Bardia National Park. As a tributary of the Karnali River, it offers additional fishing opportunities for visitors.
