Trek Kanchenjunga's north base camp trek goes up to Pangpema (5100m), the northern BC, from Ghansa onward there are no valleys and later joins the classical route from Ghansa during the return. Kanchenjunga (8586m) is Located on the eastern border of Nepal and is the third-highest peak on earth. The name Kangchenjunga is derived from Sanskrit Kanchanaganga: Kanchana means gold and Ganga is the river that flows in the region. The river shines like gold and hence the name Kanchana Ganga was given to this mountain. Its name in Nepali is Kanchanjaŋghā. Its name in the local Limbu language is Sewalungma, meaning "mountain that we offer greetings to Sewalungma” which is considered sacred by adherents of the Kirant religion. Cohabited with other ethnic groups like Sherpa, Brahmin, Chhetri, Rai, and Limbus, collectively called Kirant, are the indigenous inhabitants of the region. They have unique cultures and customs. Traditional handicrafts, carpet weaving, and wood-turning are widely practiced for their livelihood. Apart from this, it has astonishing natural beauty and ecological variety that bless this protected area, home to exotic species of rare flora and fauna including the elusive snow leopard, red panda, Himalayan black bear, musk deer, and exotic species of birds. Kanchanjunga trekking is the combination of many things such as Kirant culture, stunning glimpses of snow peaks, and view of romantic landscapes so trekking to Kanchanjunga is considered one of the best trekking routes in the world.

Optional Drohmo peak (6012m) climbing is an easy and rocky dome. The peak does not require any technical knowledge however the climb is through the moraine and rugged trail and over the icy trail for 15-20 minutes before reaching the summit. So crampons and ice axes can be essential for security matters. No major mountaineering equipment is required. You are surrounded by the summits with a fantastic view of Kanchenjunga (8686m) and its glacier, Twins Peak (7350m), KiratChuli (7362m), Jhingsang La (6165m), the Jhingsang glacier and other more Himalayan range towards the Tibet and Nepal border.
