The Great Circuit ofTAMANG HERITAGE TRAIL with combining Langtang and Tserko Ri (4984m) and Helambu valley via Gosaikund
Tamang heritage and the Langtang Tserko Ri trek are great opportunities to experience the rich Tamang culture, the high mountain scenery of the Langtang valley, and the sacred lakes of Gosaikund.
THE TAMANG HERITAGE trail is situated northwest of Kathmandu. The trek can be organized as a combined Langtang Valley trek, with accommodation in a homestay or lodge.
The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy downs, and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primrose. It is a moderate circuit. The people are Buddhists and their main occupation is agriculture and trade with Tibet. We can notice the influence of Tibet. The Tamang women wear beautiful ornament of precious stones and colorful dresses, which reminds us of Tibet. In the month of april and March, the forest is reddish with the Rhododendron flower which is also the national flower of Nepal. With the majestic view of Langtang and Ganesh Himalayan range. The valley is also a paradise for wild animals like leopards, red pandas, and musk deer.
The trek goes up to Langtang Valley and attempts to Tserko Ri (4984m) and on the way back reaching the holy lake of "Gosainkunda", Gosainkunda pass (4610m), requires a quick elevation of altitudes offering varied natural landscapes, flora, and fauna. You can test the local Yak cheese.
