Lower Manaslu-Ganesh Himal massif Singla pass trekking is the best option for trekkers who are looking for a wild, off the beaten path trek and the astonishing natural beauty with wildflowers, tumbling waterfalls, and rushing streams and rivers.
The first section of the trek passes through Gorkha, the first capital city of Nepal from where King Prithivi Narayan Shah started the unification of modern Nepal. The Gurung village of Laprak can be reached by two different routes; either along the Daraundi valley or the hillside of Dharchey (3200m). Dharchey hill offers a magnificent panoramic view to admire the summits of the lofty mountains like Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Buddha Himal, Himalchuli, Manaslu and Annapurna, etc. After crossing Budhi Gandaki River, the trail passes through the more wild landscape along with the unique culture of different communities of Gorkha Sing-la pass trek that ultimately wins your heart.

Kathmandu- Gorkha highway is a 156 km by road. We follow the Prithvi highway up to Mungling. We get separated from Khaireni and then we follow Daraundi River. We start our trek from Gorkha district head quarter. We visit the former Royal Palace.  Until 1825 BS, Gorkha was the capital of Nepal,before the KingPrithivi Narayan Shahunified 24 independent states.  After arrived in Gorkha, we leave the road of Gorkha city to Kalikasthan, close to ancient Royal Palace. Kalikasthan is behind the ancient royal palace.

In the morning we descend for sometime and follow the straight path crossing many villages of Brahmins and Chhetris. The way is easy with some ascend and short descend. Local agriculture composes millet, maize, orange, potatoes, rice etc. The climate is tropical and hot. We will cross many villages along with small forest with the stunning glimpse of Buddha (6672) and Himalchuli (7893) and reach to Gairigoon.

We ascend and descend, and pass the Mongol villages of Magar, Gurung and Tamang. It is different in culture in comparison with the indo-Aryans populations of low altitude (Brahmans, Chhetris, Damais and Sarkis).

Ascend in the rhododendrons forest and cross the Darche Pass (3200m). From there, we see eye pleasing and heart touching glimpse of Annapurnas (8091m), the massive of Manaslu (8163 m), Ganesh Himal (7406m), and the summit of the Langtang-Ri (7245m). Then follow descend path through the Himalayan pine and bamboo jungle for an hour. We reach Sambai where we find ground to set our camp.

Our journey starts through the walking on the mountain flank in the middle of the terraces of potato fields through the village of Laprak.  The way descends up to the village. This village is located on mountain flank. If the time permits us, we visit the Gurung village and see the life style, tradition and culture of this region. The village consists of 500 houses and its inhabitants are nearly 2400 people. They mostly are farmers, the life of the Laprak people is poor and the level is not very high. The religions practiced in the Larpark village are Hinduism and Buddhism. But nowadays we find some Christians too. They exchange their cultivated product with rice, oil, salt, clothes and other day to day goods.

From Laprak we follow the trail on the fields.  We cross other villages like Gumda, Yam Goan and Lapsibot. All these are Gurung villages. From Yam Goan to Machhekhola, the trial descends. On the way to Machhekhola we see the same Mountain range, as we had seen from Laprak.

In the morning, after crossed the BudhiGandaki River by a suspension bridge, the long straight path along the valley for 20 minutes and then ascends start for the full day. At the end of ascend we walk for 20 minutes on the flat path and after crossing a stream, we climb and arrived to the Kashigaon, the village of Gurung and Ghale people.

In the morning we walk on the flat up to Yarsa village inhabited by Gurung and Tamang ethnics. Then descend of 200mpath lead up to one stream.  After crossing the stream, the path takes us to a place where we stop for the lunch.  After the lunch, the way continues in the bamboo and Rhododendrons forest. The way is difficult; there is the ascending through the forest. We will camp in the jungle as there are no houses.

In the morning, we climb for 2hours up to Mangui Pass and then we progressively descend in the flank of mountain. At the pass of Mangui there are many trails that lead to different direction by flocks of the cattle because during the summer villagers bring their cattle to this forest.Then, it is necessary to wait all team members because we must walk together so that we did not lose ourselves in the forest. From the Pass we see Singla Pass, Ganesh Himal, the valley of AnkouKhola.We have chance to see wild animals very close.

 In the morning, we descend on a field and we will cross the Tamang village and descend to Ankoukhola (1300m). After crossing two suspension bridges we take lunch there. After lunch we ascend towards the Borang village, inhabited by theTamang ethnic. We proceed to Burangkharka for our camping site.

The trail leads us to climb up steep in the forest of Rhododendrons and pines.   Amazing view of Ganesh Himal (7406m), BouddhaHimal and Manaslu can be seen from there. Ascend progressively through the jungle of rhododendrons and pines throughout the day.

We have the view of the white capped summits such asLantangRi (7245m), Ganesh Himal (7406m), BouddhaHimal (6672m), Hiunchuli (7893m), ShringiHimal (7187m). We follow 3hours of descend path in the direction of GungarBhanjynang through the forest of pines and rhododendrons.

We descend to GungarBhanjyang through the forest of pines and rhododendrons and we walk on flank of mountain (rhododendrons, pines and bamboo).  In the afternoon we descend in the cornfields, millet fields in the Kispanggaon, a village of Tamang ethnic. We set our camp close to the village. As it is the last night of our trek we will make party in KispangGaon.

Descend to Satdobato and crossing Tamang’ village, we walk through rice and millets field.  Lunch in bank on the river then we take bus to Kathmandu.
