Manaslu Circuit with Larkey peak (6219m) climbing
The short brief about this peak: The Larkey peak is a part of the Manaslu Himal range. It is a fascinating peak rising above the Larkey pass (5200m) at an altitude of 6219m. It offers a fairly easy climb with fabulous views of Manaslu, the Annapurnas and Ratna chulu. Manaslu region:
The Manaslu circuit, which is a less busy area in comparison to the Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit, is situated in the Mid-Northern part of Nepal within Gorkha District, near the Tibet border. Mt. Manaslu (8163m), the eighth highest peak in the world, was opened for trekking purposes only in 1992. Permits are compulsory for all foreigners wishing to enter the mythical universe of living Tibetan traditions.
The trail provides magnificent views of mountains, combination of rich culture heritage, biological diversity. As well as Manaslu region is one of the delightful adventures in Nepal, as it provides spectacular beauty along the border of Nepal and Tibet. This valley is a sanctuary to many highly endangered animals, including Snow Leopards and Pandas, different species of birds, mammals, grey wolf, musk deer, blue sheep and the Himalayan Thar, butterflies and reptiles. Medicinal herbs and aromatic plants have also been recorded in the Manaslu region.
This trek continues alongside the different ethnic people's villages. It is different than the upper Manaslu because of the new experiences, which trekkers will enjoy.
After Laprak, we follow Budhi Gandaki valley, the trail continue northward passing through many villages of the Tibetan origin. These villages offer an opportunity to explore their customs and cultures, monasteries, prayer flags, prayer wheel and prayer walls.
