Dolpo: Trek massive traverse of Upper Dolpo to Mustang - Jomsom
Upper Dolpo to realm of Mustang – Jomsom trek is the Epic journey through the rugged landscapes which consists of Lower Dolpo, Upper Dolpo, and parts of Mustang and ends in Jomsom. Upper Dolpo – Mustang circuit crosses at least seven passes over 5000 meters such as Kangla pass (5500m) and Gela pass (5100m), traverse the high plateau of Charka bhot, Sangda Pass (5300m), Tilicho, Nilgiri himal and many more.
Dolpo region is another remote region that culturally and naturally resembles the Mustang region, this is also called hidden region because tranquility and natural beauty of this region is still unexplored. Upper Dolpo is located in the direct route between Tibet and Nepal, where we cross the caravans of yaks carrying salt and wool from Tibet. Shey Phoksundo National Park is also located in Dolpo region where you will encounter with several rare and non-rare animals such as Blue Sheep, Snow Leopard, Rabbit and Marmot. Moreover, the beauty, graceful blue color and colorful cliffs of Shey Phoksundo Lake enchant all the visitors.
