Trek Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Peak

Everest region, which is also called Khumbu region, offers a glimpse of the lifestyle and culture of the world-renowned mountain race Sherpas. In addition to experiencing the Buddhist Sherpa culture, you can get a proximate view of Everest (8848m) and other mountains of the Khumbu range. The word ‘Khumbu’ means mountains in Sherpa language. Indeed, trekkers will be trekking parallel to the mountain ranges from proximity throughout the Everest trek.

From the vantage point of 'Pike Peak', trekkers can observe a breathtaking view of several mountains like Lhotse (8511m), Nuptse (7864m), Cho-Oyu (8201m), Makalu (8475m), among others. From this viewpoint, you can also get a bird's eye view of the Sherpa towns, and a trail of trekkers ascending towards their destination of Everest Camp Base, Khumjung, or Thame.
Virtually all Holiday planners and tourism surveyors have described the Everest region as one of the best travel destinations in the world.

The early morning flight to Lukla characterizes the journey's beginning and offers a panoramic view of the Himalayas from the air. Upon arrival, trekkers' crews will be met and the trek starts after descending to the banks of the Dudh Koshi River and following it to the small village of Phakding. This easy walk allows one to acclimate and understand the local villages better.

Peak Season (March, April, May, October, and November):
During the busy trekking season, flights to Lukla operate from Manthali Airport in Ramechhap to manage increased air traffic. Early in the morning (between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM), we depart from Kathmandu in a shared tourist vehicle for a 5-6 hour drive to Manthali. Upon arrival, we board a short, scenic 20-minute flight to Lukla.

Off-Season (January, February, June, July, August, September, and December):
In quieter months, flights to Lukla depart directly from Kathmandu. After an early breakfast, our team will escort you to the domestic terminal for a 35-minute flight, providing breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

Helicopter Option:
If you'd like to avoid the drive to Manthali during peak seasons, you can take a direct helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla for an additional cost of USD 550 per person (based on five people sharing).

Upon arriving at Lukla’s Tenzing-Hillary Airport, we meet our porters, who will carry the group’s trekking gear. After breakfast, we begin our trek, descending gently along the Dudh Koshi River. Passing through vibrant villages like Chaurikharka and Ghat, the trail offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. After approximately 3-4 hours of trekking, we reach Phakding, where we rest for the night, enjoying the peaceful ambiance of this riverside village.
